The month of May was full of key milestones for the Transport & Land Compact in Malawi.

May 6 ➡ The journey begins! we ‘Entered-Into-Force’, marking the official launch of the Compact, announced in Dallas by HE, Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and Ms. Alice Albright, CEO of MCC.

May 7-17 ➡Teamwork makes the dream come to fruition! Held an Implementation Workshop to strengthen collaboration between @MCC & MCA Malawi II teams.

May 29 ➡A warm-hearted welcome to MCC CEO Alice Albright for a memorable visit in Malawi.

May 30 ➡Our Symbolic Launch held at Mzonde Grounds, Lilongwe, presided over by HE, Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and the MCC CEO.

May 30 ➡MCC CEO, engages with the Lilongwe City Council, touring one of the markets, set to improve its functions under the Compact’s land project.

May 30 ➡We joined the U.S. Embassy’s celebrations for 60 years of Diplomatic Relations with Malawi.  

May 31➡ MCC CEO, Ms. Albright engages with the Malawi team and held insightful conversations with MCA Malawi II women – sharing experiences and ways to support other women and girls.
