On September 16, the Millennium Challenge Corporation Malawi Resident Country Director, Mr. Joel Wiegert, along with our MCA Malawi II – CEO Mr. Dye Mawindo & Land Project Director Dr. Themba Chirwa, paid a courtesy visit on Her Worship, the Mayor of Lilongwe City, Councilor Esther Sagawa to discuss our ongoing collaboration with Lilongwe City Council. Lilongwe City Council is one of the four cities set to modernize its revenue systems, aiming to improve services for its residents under Malawi’s new $350 million Transport and Land Compact, funded by Millennium Challenge Corporation – MCC. In her remarks, Mayor Sagawa expressed her full support for the project and shared updates on some of the City’s activities that align with the compact’s vision for improved land services.
